U.S. Joint Forces Command to Boost Collaboration and
Strategic Thinking with Facilitate.Com
SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- 04/29/2003 --
The U.S. Joint Forces Command, Joint Experimentation Directorate (J9)
has selected Facilitate.com 7.5 web-based meeting software to bring
new levels of collaborative problem solving capability to their large
and small experimentation labs.
USJFCOM is the transformation laboratory for the
Department of Defense. Their joint experimentation campaign plans
provide the framework for the synchronization of all services -
Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines - to ensure that they are more
effectively used based upon improvements in doctrine, interoperability,
and integration. USJFCOM turns to the Joint Experimentation Directorate
(J9) to develop, explore, test, and validate how future joint
operational capabilities will be used. J9 will use Facilitate.com 7.5
in meetings and online discussions to generate ideas around a focused
set of topics and quickly prioritize them against multiple criteria.
The option to contribute anonymously will increase participation and
open discussion that is critical to identifying the best solutions.
Facilitate.com 7.5 is a web-based meeting
and collaboration suite that makes group problem solving and
decision making more productive and cost-effective. It uses
anonymous parallel brainstorming to more efficiently generate,
capture and formalize ideas. Facilitate 7.5 helps survey,
categorize and prioritize to speed action planning in online
and in-person meetings.
"One of our top priorities has been
to make Facilitate.com 7.5 extremely easy to use," said
Julia Young, Vice President at Facilitate.com. "A key
differentiator for JFCOM was the ability to enable a
large group of participants to generate and prioritize
ideas without any training or prior experience with
the software. Facilitate.com 7.5 lets you focus on the
topics at hand, not on how to use the technology.”
