Program gives you the opportunity to earn industry
recognition as an accomplished specialist in the application
of collaborative technology.
A FacilitatePro Certified
Facilitator is an individual with a proven track
record of running successful
meetings with collaborative software, capable of adapting
the technology to serve the needs of his or her
clients and serving as a valuable
resource to other facilitators in the organization. We
provide the training and coaching to get you there.
Program Description
The Facilitate.com Facilitator Certification program
is designed for individuals who use FacilitatePro collaborative
software extensively to support on-site meetings, distributed
meetings and surveys. As a Certified Facilitator,
you will demonstrate
technical expertise in the use of
FacilitatePro tools and in the facilitation of
a successful meeting using collaborative software.
You will be able
to consult with clients to design optimal use of the
technology and coach other facilitators in your organization.
The Facilitate.com Facilitator Certification Program
has two elements:

Technical Knowledge and
Application
This includes expert
knowledge in the use of FacilitatePro functions, experience in the
application of the functions to a variety of meeting and survey scenarios,
and ability to troubleshoot problems and provide technical support. |

Facilitation - Meeting
Design and Delivery
This includes the ability
to define meeting objectives and design agendas
to achieve them,
understanding of the appropriate use
of collaborative technology to support meeting
objectives; experience in the design and delivery
of same time, same place
and distributed meetings using FacilitatePro,
and understanding of group dynamics in a technology
enhanced meeting |
Prerequisites
Individuals seeking certification
will have completed both a basic and an advanced FacilitatePro training course
and will have logged at least 40 hours of actual meeting
experience using the tools. The certification program
also recognizes
experience individuals may have gained
designing and facilitating meetings using similar colaboration
tools from other vendors.
Process
The process begins by submitting an application for
certification, a resume and case study that demonstrate
the candidate’s facilitation
experience using collaboration technology. An assessor
is assigned to each candidate to review the application
for evidence of experience
and competencies. Successful candidates are then
invited to an assessment day for further testing and
demonstration of their
skills. Prior to the assessment day, we typically
spend a day of training / review with the candidate(s).
Where possible, we offer
the two day advanced training course during the same
week to allow candidates who need to fulfill this requirement
to minimize travel expenses

Application and Prepared
Materials
Candidates are asked to prepare a package of information that provides
a comprehensive summary of their experience
conducting meetings and surveys using the Facilitate.com
tools and their mastery of core application and
facilitation skills. Included in the package
is a written case study outlining the objective
of the meetings, design and preparation,
online agenda and meeting process and lessons learned.

Technical Competency
Candidates are asked to demonstrate their technical
expertise and familiarity with the FacilitatePro tools.
Candidates prepare an online meeting using the tools (including
logon screens and user access, multi-part agenda with
brainstorming, voting and action planning topics, custom screen
templates and voting profiles). Candidates are also asked to
solve various troubleshooting scenarios. |

Facilitation Competency
Candidates are asked to demonstrate their facilitation
skills by leading a meeting. They facilitate a designated meeting using
FacilitatePro, including disussions with a client, setting up the
meeting online and guiding a group through the meeting process.
Candidates are asked to discuss meeting dynamics and other aspects of
successfully managing the people dimension of a technology enhanced meeting. |
Cost of the Certification Program
The cost of a certification program conducted for your
organization is $5,000 to certify up to four candidates
plus $750 per additional candidate, and
includes Advanced FacilitatePro training conducted
at your site. Individual certification as part of
a scheduled program is $750 plus the
candidate's own travel and living expenses, and does
not include Advanced FacilitatePro training.
